"Meditate upon these things, give yourself entirely to them" 1 Timothy 4
I can only chuckle as of recent we have heard the comment; "Oh, you all are still here!"
Well yes, we are! and you know what? Our mission has never changed, we did not cut and run with the first shot, rather we continued to go forth with a vision of a spiritual center respectful towards the diversity of others....We are just as committed as before on our path to unite Spirit with the human experience-----hence--a place of Human-unity .
We recognize mankind is on a holy grail---a search for meaning upon this planet. AS such humans look to science--philosophy --sociology--psychology--psychiatry--economic emersion and yes even "shopping " for a new spiritual high from one place to another---when Mathew 6 tells you right where to look first; "seek ye first the kingdom and all these things will be given unto you"
Oh, now do not get me wrong, these individual professions assist with the realignment of a person challenged in a specific area, I grant you that, but a doctrine that deals with a fragmented universe is not equipped to give meaning to the whole man. To turn only to one of those for your answer is a sign of worry and a worry is a form of fear, excessive worry can morph into depression with a universe as unbalanced for you as thinking you have everything and yet nothing that satisfies your deepest yearnings.
A very distinguished minister from New York City is quoted to have said; "Meaning is not found in what happens to you-or-around you-rather-what happens in you" (spirit) "and through you "(human experience)How you React or Act to all that is your universe.
With these New Days of Joy and expectation of change ahead of us, it is a great time to clean out the ole mental storage bin--the brain--and review anxieties that could be clouding your thinking---Take it all to prayer, as you meditate, listen and act in a positive manor for your universe. Really folks, there is nothing too large nor small for the universal trash can.! As President Rosevelt once said, "the only fear is fear itself"
The word religion stems from Latin meaning in part; "To Connect"
Do You? Do you Really connect with whatever your religious belief is? Science has shown us those who make that connection--that religious commitment have shown to have much higher levels of personal happiness---better health--and psychological well being then those that pursue only monetary roles, agnostic attitudes or atheistic or fatalistic view points. Don't take my word for it, "meditate upon these things "
