HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
Colossians 3:15 states: “let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which you are called, and be also thankful”

Universally it is accepted that the heart is representative of Love, the symbol of affection in man.
The object of an uncountable number of musical songs, expressing a pining, a joy, a wishful craving and down right confusion for a man or a woman.
Yet the heart is the very faculty through which man receives love from God--- that is, IF, man will exercise his free will for remaining open to receive the love light of God.

When the heart is purged of all thoughts of adversity, man consciously contacts the underlying good of God. By man letting the heart fill up with that love light it begins to radiate out to all those around a person. The peace of God is therefore at rule.

Who therefore could war with his brother mankind if his heart were only filled with love?

In the words of Rod McKuen, “It does not matter who you love, or how you love, but that you love.”

So it matters not if you gave a penny valentine, a dozen red roses, or just a hug to another person or said Happy Valentine’s Day, you have honored another human, you have thanked another human, you have shown praise to God.

1 John 4;7 ,”let us love one another for love is of god, and every one that loves is born of God and knoweth God”"

Blessings,

This past weekend we celebrated the sacrifice of the Four Chaplains who gave their lives, their life jackets, coats and gloves that others might survive the sinking of the USDAT Dorchester sixty-four years ago this month. Candles were lit, bells were rung and a message was given for each chaplain. Portraits, photos, and a ship's log of the Comanche and the Escanaba (ships in the convey with the Dorchester) were on display. Following the service, we learned that the father of one young lady had been assigned to the Dorchester on its fated sailing, however due to a change in his orders he was not aboard the ship.
