Now any cowboy will tell you a colt is a wildly stubborn creature with a mind of it's own. Cute, adorable and all that, but unruly until you get it's attention and gain the upper hand , then you have the makings of an animal working with you and not against you. Out on the ranges you want to have an animal you can depend upon, that works in unison with you to make your journey much better and safer, takintg us home no matter what has injuriously befallen us.
This colt is not unlike our thoughts in today's world---our life---yet in order to improve our journey we need only take time each day for quiet prayer and meditation to gain the upper hand, quell the restless heart, set upon, quiet down our worldly thoughts, organize our inner thoughts. Just like that pony we find we are taken home , no matter the calamity we have experienced, we are moving towards---that union of Humanity and Spirit---that "Humanunity"
You know what? That trail is less dusty, we seem to find a whole crowd of fundamental ideas encouraging us along to that higher state of consciousness--to this communion with the Father, called Peace.
